Separation To Solve Marriage Problems
I’m going to be up front and say that separation is NOT a good way to solve marriage problems.
Some people say “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” — I don’t agree with this. From my experience, all separation does is give you time to think.. and thinking isn’t always the best thing.
If you can think positively and justify or deal with the negatives, then maybe .. but MOST people can’t do this.. as a matter of fact, very FEW people can do this..
So my friends will ask me: “Can separation help a marriage?” – and I tell them: “No.”
On the other hand, I am open minded, and can see where one would think this is good advice: “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.. and separation simulates that.”
For advice on marriage problems like this – I tend to lean towards more practical viewpoints.. that is: separation will make you realize what you had, but it will also create distance.. especially if both parties don’t come to an understanding at the same time.
Say the husband decides that he can’t live without the wife.. but the wife is just starting to appreciate her new found space. If the husband goes back to the wife at that time, it could trigger an argument that pushes the couple further apart than they already are!
Watch out for the following marriage problem signs:
- Limited to no sex
- Arguing over small details
- Spouse not wearing ring
These are the top 3 signs that there are problems in your marriage. In todays day and age, couples are way too quick to see a marriage counselor or try a separation. From my experienced past, I would highly recommend open communication before all other measures.
The hard part is to keep an open mind and put yourself in your spouses shoes. If you’re both able to do that.. there will be some resolve.
But if think your situation is beyond fixing “in-house” – look to Mort Fertels Marriage Max program to save your broken marriage.
His program is very cost effective and was rated #1 marriage counseling program in 2009.
Just do yourself a favor and don’t do a separation to solve your marriage problems.. you’re only going to create more.. trust me!
Why Do We Wash Towels If We Are Clean From The Shower?
The idea is this: If we take a shower to get clean, and use a towel to dry ourselves off after the shower, then why do we need to wash the towel?
Somewhat weird isn’t it?
The towel shouldn’t get dirty because our body is not supposed to be dirty after the shower (clean behind your ears).
But Are We 100% “Clean” After A Shower?
Actually, I would argue not.
First off, there is no way you got between every nook and cranny.
Second – let’s talk about how body soap works…
The function of your average shower soap is to loosen the dead cells off of your skin (in case you didn’t know, there are several layers of dead skin cells on your arms, legs, stomach, neck, etc..).
So when you are showering, the soap knocks those layers loose and the water washes MOST of it away, but NOT all.
When you use your towel to dry off, you’re not only transferring water to the towel, but also some dead skin cells and other bacteria/germs that might be hanging out in the nooks and cracks that you missed (and behind your ears).
But Wait.. That’s Not All!
If you agree with me so far.. think about this…
Now your towel has skin cells and water on it, and it is hanging there bring a perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
Naturally, the bacteria/germs floating around in the air land on the towel and eat the dead skin cells and drink the water in order to multiply… next think you know, your towel is starting to smell like mildew!
Hence – this is the reason why we have to wash our towels, even if we are “clean” from the shower!
What Is Going To Happen On December 21 2012?
Drinking some beers the other night with the boys and this random guy at the bar asked the bartender: “What is going to happen on December 21 2012?” – things got serious pretty fast.
There is undoubtedly a lot of hype about the end of the world, 2012 being the year that it’s going to happen. Before getting into the reasons for all the madness, let me give you some hope and say that one theory is that this 2012 doomsday nonsense is just a marketing ploy for people to cash in.
*If there are any researchers reading this, please comment below to get in touch.
Some people are looking for the true science behind 2012 – others want to know what the Mayan Calendar predicts.
I’ve done the research for you, so let’s briefly touch on each…
The Mayan Calendar
In short, the Mayan civilization came up with the calendar that then became the 365-day per year calendar that we know and use today. The Mayans lived 2-3000 years ago, so they were some smart people.
Again, I’m condensing a LOT of information down into small bits here, so try to stick with me.. especially if you want to know what is going to happen on December 21, 2012.
The Mayan Calendar works in cycles. 365 Days (plus lead years), or 12 months, make up 1 year cycle. On a smaller scale, 24 hours make up 1 day cycle. You get the idea.. So then they have this cycle that lasts every 5,125 years.
Guess what? The end of that 5,125 year-long cycle is December 21, 2012!
Now, you have to keep in mind that this is all based on science and math that the Maya were doing in BC. That could discredit this theory a little. On top of that, the Mayan prediction is based on a “Long Count Calendar” that starts on the “Mayan creation date” of August 11, 3114 BC. Again, the credibility here is hurt since it appears they choose a random date to start their calendar on (it might have some spiritual meaning to them, but it’s still an arbitrary date).
So my theory is that the Mayan calendar doesn’t have enough evidence to predict the end of the world.
The other topics I will cover are as follows:
The Planets Aligning
Other Astronomical Activity
Government Conspiracy
Do you know what is going to happen on December 21 2012? We would love to hear what you have to say… comment below, or sign up for QYT and post your own theory!
Does God Not Exist? Arguments, Evidence, & Proof
As the world continues getting crazier and crazier, a lot of people find themselves asking, “Does God not exist?”
This post is going to review both sides of the argument, provide some supporting evidence of each, and ultimately look to some proof to be able to say for certain whether or not God exists.
The Atheist Argument
Atheists (i.e. people that do NOT believe in the existence of a God) argue that God does not exist for various reasons. Their main argument is often that IF there were such a thing as an all-powerful God, how could God allow all the shitty stuff to happen?
People dying of thirst, war, disease, terrorism, etc.
Atheists will also argue that there is no solid scientific evidence or proof of any type of all-powerful being. In the name of the scientific method, if something cannot be observed than it doesn’t exist.
Does God not exist? For Atheists, no, he/she/it doesn’t.
The Theist Argument
Theists (i.e. people that DO believe in the existence of a God) argue exactly the opposite.
They claim that God must exist, and use God to explain the things that we don’t necessarily understand like…
- How children are born
- How nature is so complex yet perfect
- How our bodies are so perfect, etc.
Those who believe in God attribute our very existence to the work of an all-knowing super being. Maybe the reason this argument has any merit is because science does not have any concrete answer for where the universe came from.
Either argument is feasible.
There is limited solid evidence that proves or disproves the existence of a God or Gods. So the only way we’ll know is by continuing to explore.
What do you think? Does God not exist, or does he?

UAE’s Debt Obligations Cause Economic Recovery
The question here is if UAE’s debt obligations could jolt the world financial markets to cause a reverse in the world economic recovery efforts?
There is no doubt the UAE has amassed large amounts of debt over the past several years. This exponential growth in debt, led by Dubai, is becoming an ever-nearing problem for the UAE members as it matures over the several years.
Will these debt obligations be the catalyst for another dip in the financial markets?
This is yet to be determined as the UAE rulers are deciding whether or not the government/sheikdoms will guarantee the debt themselves which will total almost US$100 billion over the next decade.
The Sheiks have hit the media outlets to ease the pain of its debt holders. But it seems the pain will last for some time. Or should they use debt collection? UAE Sheiks could stimulate the world economy if they put some of their cash into circulation!
Where do you think these debt obligations will lead the UAE and the world markets?
I will come back to post my opinion shortly, in the meantime, post your thoughts below…
